We can’t wait for the just-announced Netflix series “Dogs,” a cinematic verité documentary series celebrating the deep emotional bonds between people and their beloved four-legged best friends.
Per the press release, the series tracks six incredible stories from across the globe including Syria, Japan, Costa Rica, Italy, and the US — each proving that the unconditional love one feels for their dog is a beautiful universal truth.
From what we see in the trailer, we’ll follow a man trying to save his dog who is trapped in Syria; a dog groomer; an elderly Lab who accompanies his human on fishing trips; and pups being trained to be service dogs for the disabled. One of the featured organizations we see in the trailer is Mission Pawsible.
All we can say is, Zeus (and the other doggos) better be OK!
Executive producer Glen Zipper reassured fans on Twitter (who also worried that some of the dogs featured might die). He responded: “Don’t be scared” and “I cried the whole time we were making it, but they were cleansing, joyous cries.”
The series premieres on November 16.
