Emma Stone is playing a new version of classic Disney villain Cruella de Vil, and we just got our first look at her in costume.
In the film, which is set in the 1970s, Cruella is rocking two-toned hair with black leather instead of the character’s usual elaborate fur coats. She’s got three Dalmatians with her… perhaps this Cruella won’t be so keen on trying to kill the spotted dogs?
In the photo, there’s also a small sandy pooch on the back of one of her henchman’s motor bikes.
The character was originally voiced by Betty Lou Gerson in the 1961 animated film and played by Glenn Close in a 1996 live-action remake.
“Cruella” also stars Emma Thompson, Paul Walter Hauser as Horace and Joel Fry as Jasper. It was directed by “I, Tonya” filmmaker Craig Gillespie.
It’s currently set for a May 28, 2021 release date.
We know Stone is an animal lover in real life and pretending to be cruel to the bunnies in “The Favourite” brought her to tears.
