You’ve probably seen the sweet video of Sir Patrick Stewart greeting his first-ever foster dog that he shared yesterday on Twitter. But did you realize you can adopt Ginger the pit bull?
Thanks to @ASPCA and @WagsandWalks Sunny and I are finally fostering our 1st pitbull! Meet Ginger. I’m in LOVE. #AdoptDontShop pic.twitter.com/VQUBDvZhi9

Just hours after Ginger arrived (and greeted the “Star Trek” and “X-Men” star with kisses), he went on “Conan” to talk about his new movie “Logan,” and about Ginger.
“She’s my first dog in over 50 years,” Stewart admitted to Conan O’Brien. “I’ve longed for this moment to come.” He said that as a boy, he had a border collie named Rover and hasn’t had a dog since. He then shared the video of his first meeting with Ginger, where she gives him a kiss and he says, “Thank you. That was a very nice greeting.”
He also relates that Ginger was a breeding dog for a dog fight ring and that she’s a “beautiful, playful, handsome, happy dog.”
The actor is fostering Ginger through Los Angeles-based Wags and Walks.
