Update: Jacob named his puppy Rey!

As if Jacob Tremblay, the 9-year-old star of “Room” weren’t adorable enough already, he’s now shared photos of his new puppy online.

Tremblay posted this photo to Twitter, asking people to help him name the new pup. “Please help me name my puppy! #itsagirl”

Suggestions include “Brie” (after his Oscar-winning co-star, Brie Larson) and “Rey” because he’s such a huge “Star Wars” fan. (His delight at seeing robots BB8 and Artoo Detoo was one of the delights of this year’s Oscars.)

The unnamed pup has already had a star-studded day out with Tremblay, who shared pictures of her meeting Joe Jonas, Demi Lovato, Charlize Theron and Kermit the Frog on Instagram. (She looks like a little Fozzie Bear!)

In “Room,” Jacob played a boy born to an abductee (Larson) who had lived his entire life in one room with her until she finds a way for them to escape. He dreams of having his own puppy and tries to befriend the closest thing, a mouse. To his delight, his newfound grandmother’s boyfriend has a dog named Seamus, making it a happy ending for everyone.
