Looking forward to the new ABC sitcom “Downward Dog,” which is told from the point of view of a philosophical pooch, Martin.

Allison Tolman (“Fargo”) stars as Nan, who has to deal with a tumultuous personal life and an insufferable boss (Barry Rothbart). Her up-and-downs are chronicled by her dog, Martin (voiced by Samm Hodges, who is also one of the show’s co-creators.)

“Downward Dog” premieres May 17 after “Modern Family” before switching to its regular slot of Tuesday nights at 8 pm on May 23, Deadline reports.
