‘Turning Red’ Skips Theaters, Moves to Earlier Disney+ Release

As the COVID Omicron surge continues, the latest Disney/Pixar animated film will be going straight to Disney+ on March 11, where it will be available at no extra charge to subscribers. The film, directed by Domee Shi, was originally scheduled to premiere on the big screen on April 8.

The comedy, which features the voice talents of Rosalie Chiang, Sandra Oh, James Hong, and Sasha Roiz, is about a 13-year-old girl named Mei Lee, who turns into a giant red panda whenever she gets too excited.
